How to prevent this high carbon steel cleaver knife from rust?

Because this cleaver knife is made of high carbon steel it is harder and more durable than regular stainless knife. But you need to care it from occasionally rust.

First keep the cleaver knife dry. After using, wash and dry them by hand before putting them away. Making sure they are completely dry.

You may also choose to use a very small amount of oil i.e. cooking oil, vegetable oils etc. And wipe the blade with it carefully after you wash and dry completely.
